JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Dates Revised: NTA Introduces Onscreen Calculator Feature — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam dates. As per the new schedule, the exams will now be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026, instead of April 1 to April 10.
The JEE Main Session 1 Result 2026 will be announced on February 12, while the Session 2 Result will be declared on April 20, 2026. Registration for JEE Main Session 1 is currently live and will close on November 27, 2025, with exams scheduled between January 21 and 30, 2026.
In a major update, NTA has added an onscreen standard calculator in JEE Main 2026 for the first time. This digital tool will help candidates perform basic calculations like percentages, square roots, and other operations during the test. However, physical calculators remain prohibited, and carrying them will lead to disqualification.
The JEE Main 2026 Exam will continue in computer-based mode (CBT) for BE/BTech, while BArch Paper 2 will include an offline drawing test on A4 sheets. Both papers will have MCQs (Section A) and numerical-type questions (Section B), with negative marking applicable in both.
With these changes, the NTA aims to promote exam transparency, improve digital accessibility, and ensure students focus on conceptual learning rather than manual calculations.
